An Interlude on the Georgian National Highway

After three pleasant days in Kutaisi, it was time to hop on a marshrutka back to Tbilisi.

I spotted this ad hoc gas station when we stopped at a tuck shop across the road from it not far outside of Kutaisi.

I later learned that trucks like this one are selling compressed natural gas (CNG). According to this article published in 2015, approximately 10 to 30% of Georgian vehicles run on it. What could possibly go wrong?
